- No, under no circumstances will I give access to my RAW unedited images. Unedited images do not represent my brand and editing style.
Do you travel for shoots?
- Absolutely! A travel fee will be included for any location over 50 miles from my office. Mileage pricing is based on the current IRS rate.
What if it rains?
- Don’t stress! In the south, you can never rely on the weather. I always keep an eye on the weather apps and if it’s looking bad, I will work with you to reschedule for another date. If rescheduling isn’t an option, I will provide some alternative location options and move us inside!
Do you work with pets?
- All the time! I have a furbaby myself and love photographing them! If you choose to include your pet, I ask that you bring treats, toys, and a family member or friend to help keep their attention and ensure the best shots!
Do you help with styling?
- Yes, I love doing this! All my packages include an experience guide, which is sent to you 3 weeks prior to your session. This includes what to expect about location and lighting, tips on what to wear and how to style a group, and for those with little ones, tips for what to do when the littles are struggling!
How long before I get my photos?
- All packages receive a sneak peak (not including mini sessions) within 36 hours of their shoot! On average, full galleries are delivered between 3-4 weeks. Depending on the season, this number might change but will always be communicated by me!
Can I have a sneak peek?
- Of course! All my packages receive a sneak peek of 2-3 images within 36 hours of their shoot. This does not apply to seasonal mini sessions.
Who picks the location?
- Most of my clients have a location in mind when booking with me. However, I do have a list of my favorite locations (link) and offer recommendations when needed! All seasonal mini session locations are predetermined by me because they include multiple sessions booked back-to-back.
Do we get the copyright of our images?
- Copyright simply means I am the creator of the images and I “own” the copyright. However, I do include a “copyright release” in all of my contracts, which means you will have the ability to print and share your images as many times as you’d like.
Can some of our photos be delivered in black & white and color?
- They sure can! I always select a few of my favorites to give you in black & white, but am happy to include additional B&W photos upon request.
Do you edit all of our photos?
- Yes, I do! Every image that you receive is hand-edited, one at a time!
Do you have insurance?
- Yes! I carry a $1,000,000 personal liability umbrella policy and am happy to provide a certificate of insurance (COI) upon request.

Should I practice posing?
- You don't need to practice or worry about anything! It’s my job to give you prompts, direction, and help you feel amazing. I pride myself on giving prompts that elicit movement, which allows for a more natural session (and more candids)! Just relax and enjoy this time with your loved ones!
FAQ
LATE POLICY
Please arrive at your session at least 5 minutes in advance or with enough time to get settled. If you are late to your session, time will be deducted from your overall session time. For every minute you are late, that amount of time will be deducted. For example, if you are 10 minutes late to a 30-minute session, your session time will only be 20 minutes. If you are late by over half of your session time, you will be considered a no-show.
NO SHOW POLICY
I have a zero tolerance for no call no shows. If you choose not to show up for your session without communicating to me in advance, you will forfeit your session time as a no-show and all funds paid will be non-refundable unless deemed an emergency by Mary Margaret Photography.
BOOKING POLICY
At the time of booking, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required to hold your date and time. Your session fee retainer can be made in the form of cash, debit/credit card, or Venmo. Appointments made without a retainer may not be honored and are subject to cancellation.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to make your photo session or your wedding date changes, all retainers will act as a cancellation fee. 72 hours of written advanced notice of cancellation is required to credit the retainer towards a future session. The photographer reserves the right to deny service to any client(s) who repeatedly have a history of cancellations. If Mary Margaret Photography cannot perform this contract due to fire or another casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to the Photographer's illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the client but shall have no further liability concerning the contract. This shall also apply if photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through the camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer. In the event Mary Margaret Photography fails for any other reason, Mary Margaret Photography shall not be liable for any amount above all paid.
PAYMENT POLICY
Sessions must be paid in full before shooting date or immediately upon arrival via cash or credit card. Checks are not accepted.
PRINTS PAYMENT POLICY
All prints and products are subject to your state sales tax and shipping when applicable. Due to the nature of custom photography, all sales are final.
Refund Policy
In the case of camera failure, inclement weather, or any other unforeseen incident that prevents Mary Margaret Photography from shooting on a scheduled date a new date will be scheduled or client will be refunded their retainer, if applicable.
No refund will be given under any circumstances if you fail to attend the activity on the day and at the time listed, when the booking was made.
Due to the nature of digital photography and the fact that photographs, once sent, cannot be returned; Mary Margaret Photography has a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY. Once a transaction has been completed (i.e. the buyer selected and paid for the photo and Mary Margaret Photography sent the buyer the correct photograph) it is then considered non-refundable. If a buyer has selected and purchased an incorrect photo, he/she must notify Mary Margaret Photography, before receiving the “incorrect” photograph.
Refunds will NOT be given due to “not liking a photo”, selecting an incorrect photo after the buyer has already received the photograph, or any other reason. If a mistaken photo is sent to the buyer, as documented on the invoice, Mary Margaret Photography will send the correct photo to the buyer free of charge.
COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP
In the event that any copyrighted work(s) are created as a result of the services provided by Mary Margaret Photography in accordance with this Agreement, Photographer owns all copyrights in any and all work(s) it creates or produces pursuant to federal copyright law (Title 17, Chapter 2, Section 201-02 of the United States Code), whether registered or unregistered. Any and all products, whether tangible or intangible, produced or created in connection with, or in the process of fulfilling this Agreement, are expressly and solely owned by Photographer and may be used in the reasonable course of Photographer business.
